Looking Back

What last years senior graphic design grad show looked like.

Every year the graduating seniors at Central Washington University have a senior show that showcases their completed portfolios.

Covid-19 canceled the physical show

I took the initiative to solve this design problem so that me and the other graduating seniors can still have a show.

Sketching

Getting the ideas down fast and efficiently.

I started with the core aspect, the portfolio card. It is the all in one package that represents each student allowing for a variety of different information from each student.

Wireframing

Building a low fidelity wireframe for layout

Because this site is a single page scrolling site there isn't a lot going on with the users journey through the site. This was a great opportunity to layout the elements to better help me transition it into code.

Prototyping with code

Being able to prototype this project with code helped improve my workflow and gave me more time to focus on making design iterations.

Iteration

59 commits to GitHub

The design process is a fluid and dynamic process. As I started creating the high fidelity design there were changes that needed to be made to improve the experience.
